Chevrolet unveils facelifted 2025 Tahoe and Suburban in the U.S.A.

Chevrolet is enhancing the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban with several updates to maintain their legendary status. Notable changes are evident in the front, where a new front fascia inspired by the Silverado EV is introduced. The larger daytime running lights are housed in gloss black C-channel structures, accompanied by bigger headlights at the front. All models feature a gloss black grille bar with the bow tie emblem, while specific trims boast unique textures, such as the Z71’s black mesh and the High Country’s “Galvano” chrome trim.

The side profile remains largely unchanged, except for updated wheel designs, and the RST and High Country models now offer optional massive 24-inch wheels. The rear features a wide strip of gloss black connecting the taillamps, which now have T-shaped accent lighting for a broader appearance. The lower rear fascia accommodates sporty quad tailpipes. Overall, the new Tahoe and Suburban maintain a familiar look but are perceived as slightly more appealing than the Ford Expedition by some.

Despite minor exterior tweaks, significant changes are found inside the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban. Every trim now comes standard with a new 17.7-inch touchscreen and an 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster. The redesigned dashboard enhances sightlines and reduces claustrophobia. The shift selector has returned to the steering column, and the console has been tweaked. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto persist, along with new tech features such as an app for easier towing, a cloud-connected camera system, and a rear seat monitoring system sensitive enough to detect heartbeats and breath patterns.

Safety features include automatic emergency braking, lane centering technology, blind spot monitoring, front and side pedestrian detection, and adaptive cruise control. The advanced Super Cruise driver-assist suite is now available on the LT, RST, Premier, and High Country trims. The rear seat monitoring system adds an extra layer of safety, while an interior camera aids in checking for forgotten items.

The 2025 Suburban and Tahoe offer the Duramax 3.0-liter turbodiesel on the Z71 trim, with a high-output version generating 305 hp and 673 Nm of torque. The gasoline 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V8s remain unchanged. Chevy promises improved driving responsiveness through a retuned steering system and updated multilink rear suspension. However, the emphasis on towing technology doesn’t result in a higher trailer rating for 2025, with the Suburban’s rating actually decreasing.

Manufactured at GM’s Arlington factory, production is set to begin late next year. While there is yet to be a word if the updated Tahoe and Suburban will be coming to the Philippines, there is a chance, considering that both models are currently available here.
