We’ve always said that there’s no sure way of knowing what adjustments to fuel prices will be put in place week after week. If we’re to just look at the trend, we can easily see that there are more price hikes than rollbacks. Come tomorrow, this will again add to that statistic because gas and diesel are both set to become more expensive per liter.

Most brands including Caltex, Petron, Shell, Unioil, Seaoil, and PTT among many others will be changing the fuel prices in their pumps as the clock strikes 6:00 AM on February 18, 2025. There is, of course, one player that gives its customers a small reprieve in the even of price increases, and that is Cleanfuel. Per its usual practice, its pumps across the country will reflect the updated and higher prices later in the day at 4:01 PM.

Since the start of this year, we’ve always mentioned that now is as good a time as any to perhaps consider going the hybrid or electric route. Let’s face it, fuel whether it’s gasoline or diesel has become significantly expensive since borders have opened post-pandemic. Unfortunately, it looks like the Philippines will only keep on increasing before we get any rollback that’s enough to make a dent into however much prices have increased by.

Whether it’s a lifetime battery warranty like what MG is offering or a brand’s consistent and strong push towards hybrid power like Honda and its newest addition to its e:HEV lineup, the HR-V, there isn’t much of a shortage of options, and information that we can look into and maybe even educate ourselves on.

So go on ahead, browse through the YugaAuto site. We’re pretty confident you’ll find a good deal of information and articles that might just tickle your hybrid or electric vehicle fancy. Perhaps enough for you to make the jump so as not to keep worrying about these consistent increases in fuel prices.
