BRABUS has unveiled the BRABUS BODO at FuoriConcorso 2026, a limited-production grand tourer created in honor of company founder Bodo Buschmann and his long-standing vision of building a large, high-performance coupe.

The project traces its roots back to 1977 in Bottrop, Germany, when Buschmann founded BRABUS. According to the company, Buschmann often spoke of creating a Gran Turismo inspired by the golden age of automobiles but designed with a modern, aggressive character. The BRABUS BODO now brings that concept into production years after his passing.

Production will be limited to 77 units worldwide, with annual output expected to range between 10 and 15 vehicles. The “77” emblem below the rear window references the year BRABUS was founded.

The BRABUS BODO was engineered with a target top speed of 360 km/h. Its body is made entirely from high-strength carbon fiber to reduce weight and improve aerodynamic efficiency. Exterior highlights include LED matrix headlights, a radiator grille with 13 vertical slats, and an adaptive rear spoiler that automatically adjusts its position depending on speed and aerodynamic requirements.

Power comes from a hand-built 5.2-liter V12 biturbo engine equipped with two flow-optimized four-valve cylinder heads, an updated fuel injection system, and a BRABUS high-performance turbo setup with a RAM-AIR airbox. Together, the engine produces 1000 hp at 6,400 rpm and 1200 Nm of torque.

BRABUS says the 2+2-seater can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 360 km/h.

The coupe rides on 21-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z-GT “Shadow Edition” forged wheels paired with Continental SportContact 7 Force tires developed specifically for the model. The front uses 275/35 ZR 21 tires on 9.5Jx21 wheels, while the rear gets fat 325/30 ZR 21 tires mounted on 11.5-inch-wide wheels for improved traction and cornering stability.

Inside, the cabin features a “Piano Black” theme with smooth black leather, black Nubuck leather, and carbon-fiber trim pieces. The interior also features embroidered details, including Buschmann’s signature on the door panels and a silhouette of the BRABUS BODO on the seat backrests.

Our Take: The BRABUS BODO takes us back to the glory days of AMG, when everything made zero sense, with a powerful engine and near-sedate styling with wild touches, and we love it for that.
