Nissan has unveiled details of the fourth-generation Elgrand here at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. It is set to launch in Japan in summer 2026. Building on its legacy as one of Japan’s original “premium minivans,” the new Elgrand combines advanced electrified powertrain technology, refined design, and enhanced passenger comfort for families on the move.

The all-new Elgrand adopts Nissan’s “Timeless Japanese Futurism” design philosophy, blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern materials and technology. The front grille features a Kumiko-inspired pattern that integrates with the lighting signature, creating a bold, cohesive appearance.

The color lineup introduces “Fuji Dawn,” a two-tone color inspired by morning light over Mount Fuji, and “Shigoku,” a deep red-purple tone symbolizing elegance and refinement.
Inside, the cabin offers a lounge-like atmosphere. Second-row passengers benefit from zero-gravity captain’s chairs, complemented by TailorFit leather, woodgrain accents, and Kumiko-pattern detailing. Dual 14.3-inch displays combine driver information and infotainment, while a 22-speaker Bose® sound system and 64-color ambient lighting enhance the overall experience.
The new Elgrand will be powered exclusively by Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER hybrid system, which uses a dedicated engine and a modular 5-in-1 electric powertrain for improved efficiency, reduced noise, and refined performance.

It will also debut Nissan’s latest e-4ORCE electric all-wheel-drive system, providing better handling and stability on various road surfaces. The system uses rear motor torque to minimize pitching during acceleration and braking, improving ride comfort and reducing motion sickness.
An Intelligent Dynamic Suspension system helps maintain stability by minimizing body roll and keeping the vehicle level through corners.

The Elgrand will feature Nissan’s newest ProPILOT technology. ProPILOT 1 allows hands-off driving below 50 km/h, while ProPILOT 2.0 supports hands-free operation on highways, including automatic lane changes. These systems aim to make both city and long-distance driving safer and more convenient.
With its combination of Japanese-inspired design, advanced hybrid technology, and a focus on comfort, the 2026 Nissan Elgrand continues to evolve as one of the country’s leading luxury minivans.
