President and CEO Takao Kato said the theme reflects Mitsubishi’s goal to deliver the timeless joy of exploration. “Even in an age of advanced technologies, we remain committed to the pure joy of driving and aim to inspire a mobility experience that awakens the sense of adventure,” Kato stated.
The Elevance Concept is designed to enhance the quality of time spent on the road. It combines Mitsubishi’s electrification expertise with Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) technology in a quad-motor 4WD system, enabling confident and stable driving on various terrains.

Its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain uses a high-efficiency gasoline engine compatible with carbon-neutral fuels and a large-capacity traction battery. The system enables electric-only operation in daily driving while providing long-distance capability, eliminating range anxiety. The battery can also supply external power, turning destinations into comfortable glamping sites when paired with a trailer.

The Elevance Concept’s styling strikes a balance between elegance and toughness. Its smooth cabin and muscular lower body reflect Mitsubishi’s “Luxe Adventurer” design theme. The vehicle’s rib-bone frame structure provides rigidity and a sense of security.

At the front, the model features an evolved version of Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield design, characterized by a honeycomb grille that conveys strength and sophistication. The body’s character lines run continuously from the headlights to the taillights, and lowered side windows allow passengers to enjoy panoramic views.

The concept introduces an updated S-AWC system that integrates in-wheel front motors for steering precision and dual-motor Active Yaw Control (AYC) at the rear for strong traction. Individual wheel control improves handling and off-road capability while maintaining ride comfort. Body control functions help reduce wobble and sway on uneven terrain, minimizing motion sickness during long drives.
Inside, the Elevance Concept features a three-row, six-passenger layout with a seamless, shell-like interior design. The dashboard features a wide display screen that spans the entire cabin, offering visibility of blind spots and the surrounding area.

The vehicle introduces an AI Co-Driver, displayed on the steering wheel and instrument panel. It suggests destinations based on the driver’s preferences and adjusts drive modes according to road and vehicle conditions, enhancing both safety and comfort.
Premium leather seats and ample space ensure a comfortable ride for long trips. When combined with a trailer, the PHEV system can power amenities such as a kitchen and shower, offering a refined outdoor experience.
As you can see, the Elevance Concept aims to redefine your overlanding adventure for your whole family. We are excited to see where this goes.
