A few months ago we wrote that Astara will take over JMC PH for distributorship rights of the vehicles and the brand. In an effort to boost the brand’s profile and excite the upcoming launch for the 2024 edition of the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), they gave us media a short preview of the products in an off-road setting.

The exhilarating event took place at The General’s Farm in Tanauan, Batangas, showcasing cutting-edge technology and standout features of its upcoming flagship model – the Grand Avenue. Participants experienced the pickup’s promising performance, immersed in JMC’s pursuit of confident drives on every road conquered.

JMC invited esteemed dealers, fleet account representatives, bank partners, and media representatives to the exclusive event, offering a glimpse of the automotive excellence that the brand is renowned for. They are among the first to witness the Grand Avenue’s features and road performance ahead of the vehicle’s public launch at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show in April. More than just a test drive, the experiential drive was a curated experience that shared the very essence of JMC’s commitment to redefining mobility around the globe.

The Grand Avenue’s terrain mastery and road power were unleashed as soon as participants got behind the wheel, kicking off a journey across Batangas roads. Its 5th Generation PUMA 2.3-liter Turbo-charged diesel engine roars and packs a punch with 177 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Its ZF 8-Speed Automatic with Select Shift transmission is geared to provide extremely smooth gearshifts and rapid start response. The Borg Warner 4-Wheel Drive System maximizes the pickup’s powertrain, ensuring strong off-road capability. The JMC flagship pickup is the biggest in its class equipped with one of the mightiest engines in its segment.
