Kia Philippines has launched the all-new EV3, the compact electric SUV that was recently named World Car of the Year for 2025. The subsidiary of ACMobility positioned the model as the accessible entry point to its EV lineup, bringing technology and design cues from the larger EV5 and EV9 into a smaller package.
“Our goal is to make electric driving a natural upgrade to daily life,” said Jay Lopez, Managing Director of Kia Philippines. “The Kia EV3 pairs world-class technology with daily utility, giving drivers a quieter, smarter, and more comfortable way to experience the future of mobility.”
International automotive journalists awarded the EV3 the World Car of the Year title based on evaluations of design, safety, and innovation. It has also received Red Dot “Best of the Best” and iF Design honors. Exterior design includes an updated Digital Tiger Face front end with signature LED headlights, flush outer door handles, a rear spoiler, standard roof rails, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Power comes from a front-mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor producing 204 PS and 283 Nm of torque, paired with a 58.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack rated for up to 511 kilometers of NEDC range per charge. An 11 kW AC charger takes 5 hours and 20 minutes to bring the battery from 10% to 80%, while a 350 kW DC fast charger completes the same range in 29 minutes.
Safety equipment includes Kia’s DriveWise suite, covering Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Avoidance with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping and Following Assist, Blindspot Safety Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Safety. Seven airbags cover front, side, and curtain positions, supported by Electronic Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera.
Interior features include leather upholstery, an 8-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, dual-zone automatic climate control, a sliding console tray, and 60:40 split-folding rear seats. A 30-inch Triple Panoramic display combines the gauge cluster, infotainment screen, and a 5.3-inch climate control display. Connectivity includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless charging pads, five USB-C ports, and a 6-speaker audio system.
Kia Philippines priced the EV3 at Php 1,898,000 with a wall charger included, but it is being offered at an introductory price of Php 1,868,000 — a Php 30,000 discount — along with 5 years of free Preventive Maintenance Service, available until October 31. Coverage includes a 5-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year/160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty. Buyers can choose from Aventurine Green, Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black, Terra Cotta, Frost Blue, Shale Grey, and Ivory Silver.
Reservations opened September 21, with unit deliveries set to begin October 1.
