Limited edition Nissan Navara Calibre-X shown at MIAS 2022

Who doesn’t like pick-ups, right? The Navara has always been a staple on Philippine roads and it’s about to get yet another variant and a limited edition at that. Behold the Nissan Navara Calibre-X.

For those who want to look good and not scuff up their trucks, the Calibre-X gives you just that right out of the dealership. But that’s if you get your hands on it. What’s it packing, though? First off, you have to know that it’s based on the Pro-4X Navara but this time without 4×4. Bummer. But again, this one’s about looking good while still being to be a trusty truck. All the chrome bits have been blacked out on the Calibre-X. And to spruce it up, Nissan put in orange accents on the badges, fenders, and skid plates for good measure.

Comfort? That’s not going to be a problem because the Calibre-X has Nissan’s zero-gravity seats. Entertainment? That’s covered by a good-sized 8-inch infotainment system that comes with connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and USB. Safety? Again Nissan came through with a host of their Intelligent Mobility Features such as a separate 7-inch advanced drive-assist display on the dashboard, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, driver attention alert, lane departure warning, as well as a 360-degree around-view monitor. Standard safety features on the Calibre-X are six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-start assist, brake assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Powering the Calibre-X is a 2.5-Liter turbocharged diesel engine. It puts out 190 HP and a whopping 450 Nm of torque and is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Yes, it drives the rear wheels but again, there’s no 4×4 on this pick-up.

The Nissan Navara Calibre-X is priced at PHP 1.526M and comes in only three colors: Galaxy Black, Fiery Red, and for an additional PHP 15,000, you can get it in Aspen Pearl White. At its base price, it sits just below the Navara VL Calibre 4×2, and that’s with all its good looks and limited edition glory. MIAS 2022 runs until this Sunday, 10th April, and you can see for yourself whether this Nissan pick-up may just be what you want.
