The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has put a cap on the number of Angkas bikers on the road.
Starting next year, the ride-hailing company Angkas will lose 17,000 bikers due to the decision made by the LTFRB. The cap was put in place to make room for the government’s technical working group’s decision to extend the motorcycle taxi pilot run for three more months. Aside from Angkas, JoyRide and Move It has been approved to partake in the program, which will start on December 23, 2019, to March 23, 2020. A total of 39,000 bikers will participate nationwide.
