If there’s one display area at PIMS 2022 that you just can’t miss, it was Mazda. At their 3-layer pavilion, the brand, in line with the Show’s theme “Mobility + Humanity: Innovating for the Common Good”, brought out an impressive lineup of vehicles to highlight their Human Centric approach to design and engineering. And what better models to push than a special MX-5 and their newest crossover, the CX-8?
Mazda MX-5 25th Anniversary Edition, a Philippine-exclusive model
To celebrate the brand’s special relationship with the Miata Club of the Philippines, they have decided to come out with a Philippines-exclusive limited-run MX-5. And at PIMS 2022, they took the covers off it: the MX-5 25th Anniversary Edition.
The MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition is exclusively in Platinum Quartz Metallic with a Navy Blue soft top. Navy Blue accents are also found on the side mirrors and roll hoops. Satin Silver 17-inch alloy wheels complete the exterior transformation.
On the inside, the MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition has a special Mazda Connect Commander knob finished in Sterling Silver. It also comes with a Serial Number Plate that is likewise finished in the same material. Additional features such as black leather seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a 9-speaker Bose sound system come standard. Each unit will also include a commemorative car cover and the MCP 25th Anniversary Photobook.
The MX-5 MCP 25th Anniversary Edition is available in both manual and automatic variants with a special price of PHP 2,250,000USD 38,205INR 3,251,925EUR 36,788CNY 279,000 and PHP 2,300,000USD 39,054INR 3,324,190EUR 37,605CNY 285,200 respectively, but that’s for those who made reservations during the PIMS weekend.
