BYD, the global leader in New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), is expanding its presence in the Philippines with the launch of the all-electric eMAX 7 MPV.

Locally distributed by BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, the eMAX 7 enters the country’s competitive MPV market as the first fully electric model in its segment. It is offered in the 7-seater Standard and the 6-seater Superior Captain.

The eMAX 7 features BYD’s Dragon Face 3.0 design, resembling the upscale Han and Tang models. It includes a bold front fascia, LED headlights, aerodynamic contours, and 17-inch alloy wheels to combine function and style.

Inside, the eMAX 7 offers a flexible and spacious cabin. The Superior Captain trim comes with second-row captain’s chairs. At the same time, both variants include soft-touch materials, leather upholstery, and a 12.8-inch rotating infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Maximum cargo space reaches 980 liters.

Standard safety features include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, traction and stability control, ABS, and tire pressure monitoring. The Superior Captain variant includes advanced driver assistance features under BYD’s DiPilot system: Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Rear Cross Traffic Braking.

The eMAX 7 is powered by BYD’s 8-in-1 electric powertrain and Blade Battery technology. The Standard model has a 55.4 kWh battery producing 161 hp and 310 Nm of torque, offering up to 420 km of range. The Superior Captain variant has a larger 71.8 kWh battery with 204 PS, maintaining the same torque and offering up to 530 km of range.

Up to 6.6 kW AC and 89 kW DC (Standard) or 115 kW DC (Superior Captain) charging options are available. Both variants come with a 2.5 kW portable charger, a 7 kW AC wall charger, and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature that can power appliances.
The Standard variant is priced at PHP 1,498,000USD 26,260INR 2,243,405EUR 23,773CNY 191,444, while the Superior Captain trim is available for PHP 1,748,000USD 30,642INR 2,617,805EUR 27,741CNY 223,394. Features in the higher trim include a panoramic glass roof, ventilated power front seats, wireless phone charging, a powered tailgate, and additional comfort enhancements.

For purchases made before April 30, 2025, a PHP 50,000USD 877INR 74,880EUR 794CNY 6,390 discount is available. Buyers can choose from four color options: Crystal White, Harbour Grey, Quartz Blue, and Cosmos Black.
Both variants come with comprehensive warranties: 8 years or 160,000 km for the battery, 8 years or 150,000 km for the motor, and 6 years or 150,000 km for the vehicle. Preventive maintenance is required only once a year or every 20,000 km, with estimated maintenance savings of 75–80% over five years.
