Yesterday, the Metro Manila Development Authority released an advisory on a stop-and-go traffic scheme along Roxas and Diokno Boulevard. This scheme will be implemented from 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM today. As if it couldn’t get any worse, yet another traffic jam bombshell will plague the area.
From April 22-24, 2022, the MMDA has asked the motoring public to expect a full road closure of Macapagal Boulevard and Buendia Avenue. According to their Public Information Office, the full road closure is to give way to a Pasay LGU-approved political rally.
Traffic jams have only gotten worse across all areas in Metro Manila despite the Coding scheme which itself is being amended as we speak. With supposed vehicle volume reduction not working as intended, added to numerous road closures, everyone can’t seem to find any respite from the horrendous daily congestion on the roads.
With that, please plan your routes accordingly. This one’s going to be a wild, if not a (VERY) slow ride.
