Sections of Ninoy Aquino Avenue to be closed starting August 19 until August 22, 2022

According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, starting tomorrow until August 22, 2022, select portions of both southbound and northbound lanes of Ninoy Aquino Avenue will be closed.

Ninoy Aquino Avenue closure details

The reason for the closure is to give way to the construction of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) Cavite Ninoy Aquino Station.

Given that this is a heavily used road, heavy traffic should be expected in the area, however, the post also listed the alternate routes motorists can use in the meantime.

NORTHBOUND
1. Right turn to Old Sucat Rd. (Front of SM Sucat ) C5 Extension Rd. Multinational Ninoy Aquino Ave. (Duty Free)
2. Left Turn to Kabihasnan (Victor Medina St.) Quirino Ave. or Cavitex Coastal Rd.
SOUTHBOUND
1. Left turn to Multinational C5 Extension Rd. AMVEL Ninoy Aquino Ave. (Airforce One/PCP Station 3)
or
Left turn to Multinational C5 Extension Rd. Old Sucat Rd.
exit (Head Quarters/Brgy. San Dionisio Hall) U-turn at Palanyag
2. Quirino Ave. Kabihasnan (Victor Medina St.) Ninoy Aquino Ave.
So for those who frequent the area, do take note of these routes.
