Best be aware: Partial road closure of C5 corner Canley in Pasig from May 2-31

Pasig is seeing a lot of either full or partial road closures as of late. Another one has been announced and this time it’s going to be at the corner of C5 Service Road and Danny Floro Street, AKA Canley Road Pasig. This is to make way for groundworks of Manila Water and is set from yesterday, May 2, until May 31, 2023.

The roadworks are set to last until the end of this month, May 31. Work hours of Manila Water will be daily from 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM. Within these times, the partial road closure at the corner of C5 Service Road and Canley Road will commence and though these may be rather late hours, some traffic is anticipated to bottle up before and along the Service Road.

Manila Water will have excavation works done, as well as pipe jacking and manhole restoration as part of their Sewer Network Project along the area. As we know, strong rains see the accumulation of some standing water along the Service Road and this aims to address that problem.

As such, alternate routes have been laid out in line with the road closure.

Vehicles that wish to avoid the potential traffic jam can avoid the closure area by turning right into Lanuza Avenue from C5. From there, they should turn left into Saint Martin Street, turn into Capt. Javier Street and ply along Pasig Boulevard until they reach the corner of C5. Other indicated routes are Julia Vargas Avenue or Ortigas Avenue into Lanuza.

Please do extend your patience while these roadworks and road closures are being implemented. They are, after all, for everyone’s safety and convenience. Drive safely out there, folks!
