Some bad news. SCTEX and MCX will increase toll prices on Nov. 19 and 20, respectively
Some bad news, indeed, folks. According to the Toll Regulatory Board, both SCTEX and MCX are all set to hike their toll fees; the first of which will happen tomorrow for the Subic – Clark – Tarlac Expressway and on November 20 for the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway. Here’s what you need to know about the new and more expensive toll prices.

Beginning tomorrow, November 19, 2024, Class 1 vehicles using the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway to travel between Tarlac CIty to Mabalacat, Pampanga will have to pay an additional PHP 41, while those on the same route but are classified as Class 2 and 3 will pay PHP 81 and PHP 121 more, respectively.
A higher increase when traveling end to end – that is Tipo Hermosa, Bataan to Tarlac City – will also be applied to all 3 vehicle classes, and these are PHP 65, PHP 131, and PHP 196 for Classes 1 to 3.

The Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway‘s updated toll fees will increase but by a more modest amount across all three vehicle classes. For Class 1, they will see a hike of PHP 3, Class 2 will go up by PHP 4, and Class 3 by PHP 7. These will be applied starting November 20, 2024, which is 2 days from the publishing of this article.

As we all know by now, the expressways in both the north and south of Metro Manila have continued their push towards a fully-contactless toll collection system.
