Suzuki Philippines has announced that the 2026 Jimny 3-Door is now equipped with Suzuki Safety Support, adding advanced driver-assist technology to the compact off-road SUV’s feature set.
The update brings new safety technologies while retaining the Jimny’s core characteristics, including its compact footprint, boxy styling, and strong off-road capability. The addition is intended to improve safety during daily driving and reduce fatigue on longer highway trips.
At the center of the update is Suzuki Safety Support, a preventive safety system designed to help reduce the risk of collisions. It includes Dual Sensor Brake Support II, which uses a camera and laser sensor to detect vehicles and pedestrians ahead. When a possible collision is detected, the system provides visual and audio alerts and can automatically apply the brakes if needed. Suzuki notes that the system depends on its sensors’ capabilities and should not replace attentive driving.
Adaptive Cruise Control is now available across all Jimny 3-Door variants. The system uses radar and camera inputs to maintain a preset speed while automatically adjusting acceleration and braking based on traffic conditions ahead. The vehicle also gains Lane Departure Prevention, which provides steering assistance if the vehicle begins to drift out of its lane, and Lane Departure Warning, which alerts the driver through visual, audio, and steering feedback. The Weaving Alert function monitors driving behavior and issues a warning sound and dashboard notification if irregular drifting is detected. High Beam Assist is also included, automatically switching between high and low beams depending on traffic and lighting conditions when driving above 30 km/h with the headlamp switch set to automatic mode.
Inside, GLX variants now feature a new nine-inch infotainment touchscreen with a more modern interface. The information gauge cluster also receives a colored display, replacing the previous red-orange graphics. Both GL and GLX variants now include front side airbags and curtain airbags. Front parking sensors are now standard across the range, while the GL variant gains a reverse camera to improve rear visibility during parking.
The Jimny continues to use its 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 102 PS and 130 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. The model also retains the ALLGRIP PRO four-wheel-drive system, allowing drivers to switch between two-wheel drive for paved roads, four-wheel drive high for gravel or dirt roads, and four-wheel drive low for more demanding terrain such as sand, mud, or steep rocky surfaces.
The 2026 Jimny 3-Door with Suzuki Safety Support is available in the Philippines with the GL MT SS priced at ₱1,293,000, the GLX AT SS at ₱1,355,000, and the GLX AT Two-Tone SS at ₱1,365,000.
All that said, we expect the 5-Door version to follow suit soon with Suzuki Safety Support.
