RTR Vehicles has announced the 2026 Mustang RTR Spec 5, its new halo production model and the most advanced Mustang RTR to date. Production will be limited to 50 units, inclusive of a Mustang GT 401A with the Performance Package.

“Spec 5 doesn’t reference our peers – it’s derived from the core DNA of RTR,” said Vaughn Gittin Jr., RTR founder. “This Mustang embodies everything we stand for – confidence, capability, and our ‘Ready to Rock’ mindset.”

The Spec 5 is based on the 7th-generation Mustang GT, fitted with Recaro sport seats and the Performance Package. Power comes from a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with a 3.0-liter Stage 2 Whipple Supercharger, producing more than 870 horsepower and 660 lb.-ft. of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Suspension is handled by the RTR Tactical Performance system, which includes 30-way adjustable coilovers and dampers, adjustable springs, and front and rear sway bars. Braking is provided by Brembo 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers, along with upgraded 2-piece front rotors. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires are mounted on 20-inch RTR Aero 5 Evo Forged Wheels, offered in Forged Charcoal, Podium Champagne, or Vapor Silver.

The exhaust note is delivered through an RTR by Borla Cat-Back Active Exhaust System, tuned by Gittin Jr.
The Spec 5 debuts RTR’s first fully integrated composite widebody system with exposed carbon fiber elements. Key components include widebody fenders with cooling vents, carbon fiber splitters, rocker panels, wake towers, and the signature RTR upper grille with LED intakes. A new graphics package, including Speedblock Rocker Graphics, draws from RTR’s Formula Drift success.

Buyers can select from RTR’s Extended Color Palette or choose premium paint-to-sample options. Each car comes with renders showing the chosen exterior color and wheel finish, with custom samples provided for special paint orders.
Inside, the Spec 5 is fitted with RTR Leather Recaro sport seats featuring grey bolsters, black suede inserts, ribbed patterns inspired by historic Ford models, and a debossed RTR logo. A serialized dash plaque with Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s signature, RTR Performance Shift Knob, RTR floor mats, and a certificate of authenticity are included.

The factory Electronic Drift Brake, developed with Ford and RTR drivers, is standard. It allows controlled drifts, donuts, and J-turns, further connecting the car to RTR’s motorsport roots.

Other details include a redesigned fuel door with billet aluminum arms and a water drainage system, reflecting RTR’s attention to engineering.

Given that RTR is a specialized tuning house based in the United States, the chances of the Mustang RTR Spec 5 coming to the Philippines are exceptionally slim, unless it is imported through the gray market.
