Nissan has announced the appointment of Yoshinori Kanazawa as President of Nissan Philippines, effective April 1, 2026. He will report to the President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand and will be based in Manila.
Kanazawa currently serves as Managing Director of the Nissan Importers Business Unit (NIBU), ASEAN, and Managing Director of Nissan Singapore Pte. Ltd., based in Thailand. In this role, he oversees Nissan’s importer business operations across Southeast Asia and works with regional partners to support market development across ASEAN.
He has nearly 20 years of experience within Nissan, with leadership roles in Japan, China, and other international markets. His background includes corporate planning, product planning, and dealer network development. Before his current role, Kanazawa held senior positions within Nissan China and its joint ventures, focusing on strategic planning and dealer network expansion.
Kanazawa will replace Masao Tsutsumi, who has been promoted to President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand, based in Thailand. Tsutsumi succeeds Toshihiro Fujiki, who has been appointed Corporate Executive, Global Aftersales at Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.
During his tenure in the Philippines, Tsutsumi led initiatives to strengthen Nissan’s market presence and maintain brand momentum. He also worked with the organization and dealer partners to expand the network and improve customer experience.
Nissan Philippines expressed its appreciation to Tsutsumi for his contributions and leadership, and wished him success in his new role.
Kanazawa’s appointment will take effect following his qualification under Philippine laws, confirmation, and election by the Nissan Philippines Board of Directors.
