Nissan Motor Co. and Nissan Motorsports & Customization Co., Ltd. (NMC) will present a wide range of vehicles, concept models, and customization programs at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, scheduled from January 9 to January 11 at Makuhari Messe. Nissan’s booth will be located in Hall 2 (West Hall), No. 217.
A key highlight of the display will be the debut of a new NISMO concept model. Full details of the concept will be announced during Nissan’s press conference on January 9. The booth will also feature upcoming production vehicles, customized models, and a retail area offering Nissan and NISMO merchandise.
Nissan will also livestream talk shows and other event content during the exhibition for online audiences. Further details on schedules and programs will be announced at a later date.
Among the production-based models on display is the refreshed Fairlady Z, which is scheduled for release in Japan in summer 2026. The updated model adopts new exterior styling aimed at improving aerodynamic performance. Nissan will also introduce the Z NISMO MT, a new variant equipped with a manual transmission for drivers seeking a more engaging driving experience.

The X-Trail Rock Creek Multibed Wildplay will also be shown. Based on the Rock Creek edition X-Trail, the model builds on the vehicle’s “tough gear” image and is designed for outdoor use. It features a rugged exterior and interior, waterproof seats, and outdoor-focused accessory packages intended to support camping and recreational activities. Additional details will be announced on January 7, 2026.

Nissan will also present the LEAF AUTECH, which adds the all-new LEAF to the AUTECH lineup. The model features a sportier yet more refined exterior and upgraded interior materials to enhance cabin quality.

Another display vehicle is “Matchy’s March,” a restored first-generation Nissan March owned by Masahiko “Matchy” Kondo, Team Director of Kondo Racing. Students from Nissan Automobile College restored the car, including a refreshed exterior and a manual transmission conversion.
Rounding out the exhibit is the MOTUL AUTECH GT-R from the 2016 Super GT season. The car is displayed in recognition of Tsugio Matsuda’s retirement from SUPER GT competition following the 2025 season. In 2016, Matsuda and teammate Ronnie Quintarelli secured back-to-back GT500 class victories at Okayama and Fuji, winning the opening two races of the season.
