
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has introduced the new GR Yaris, which is now available with manual and automatic transmissions. Retail sales begin on March 6.
Developed from Toyota’s World Rally Championship (WRC) experience, the GR Yaris reflects the brand’s commitment to performance and continuous improvement. The latest model features an aerodynamic design with 18-inch aluminum-forged wheels, LED lighting, and a rear spoiler.

Under the hood, it is powered by an upgraded G16E-GTS 1.6L 3-cylinder turbo engine, delivering 276 hp and 390 Nm of torque. Enhancements include an improved drive mode select, a new sub radiator, and an intercooler spray for better cooling and performance.
The GR Yaris now has two variants, the 1.6L Turbo A/T with an 8-speed direct-shift automatic transmission (DAT) and the 1.6L Turbo M/T with a 6-speed intelligent manual transmission.

Inside, the driver-focused cockpit features a 12.3-inch TFT meter display with a tire pressure monitor, a 7-inch display audio system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and enhanced safety features such as a back monitor, intelligent clearance sonar, and Toyota Safety Sense (TSS). The A/T variant includes Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, while the M/T version has Adaptive Cruise Control.

Pricing starts at P3,391,000 for the 1.6L Turbo M/T and P3,550,000 for the 1.6L Turbo A/T. Available colors include Super White, Emotional Red, Precious Black, and the newly introduced Precious Metal.
