Volvo has unveiled a refresh for the XC60, featuring user experience, design, and comfort upgrades. The mid-size SUV also receives a faster and more responsive infotainment system. These improvements enhance daily usability while maintaining Volvo’s commitment to safety and luxury.
Since its launch in 2017, the XC60 has been Volvo’s top-selling model and a leading plug-in hybrid in Europe. Over 1.5 million units have been sold globally, with 2024 marking a new sales record. The latest updates are designed to reinforce its position in the market, considering a lot of other manufacturers are releasing new versions of their crossovers.
The refreshed XC60 introduces Volvo’s new-generation user experience. It features a larger 11.2-inch free-standing touchscreen with a 21% increase in pixel density for a sharper display. The system integrates Google services and benefits from over-the-air updates, ensuring long-term software enhancements.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, the infotainment system is now twice as fast, with ten times faster graphics rendering. This upgrade improves responsiveness, reduces driver distraction, and enhances safety.
The XC60 has a more modern exterior with a redesigned air intake, new wheel options, and darker rear lights. It also introduces two new colors, Forest Lake and Aurora Silver, alongside Mulberry Red, which will be available for the first time.
Inside, refreshed materials such as Quilted Nordico and Navy Herringbone Weave provide a more premium feel. The interior layout features improved storage, updated cupholders, a more efficient wireless phone charger, and a spacious cargo area.
Volvo enhances the XC60’s ride quality with a quieter cabin and standard comfort seating. Optional air suspension and laminated windows offer additional refinement. The SUV also features Volvo’s air purification technology for improved cabin air quality.
For audio enthusiasts, the Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity sound system, now with a redesigned speaker mesh, delivers top-tier sound quality.
The refreshed XC60 is available for order in select markets, with release timing varying by region. The Philippines should also receive the XC60 sooner rather than later.
It looks to be a busy year for Volvo, with numerous launches scheduled for 2025, including the just-released Volvo EX30 Cross Country.
