Women applying for driver’s license get priority registration for free LTO TDC all this month

It’s March. It’s National Women’s Month, and the Land Transportation Office is giving priority to the LTO TDC (Theoretical Driving Course) program to female driver’s license applicants. As of today, and following the directives of Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, LTO Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza has passed the order to all the agency’s Regional Directors and District Office heads nationwide.

As we may remember, March is when National Women’s Month is celebrated the world over. And as part of the DOTr’s and Land Transportation Office’s programs and activities to honor the nation’s women, the free LTO TDC will be giving priority to female applicants who wish to enroll as part of the process for applying for a driver’s license.

“This is the LTO’s way of recognizing the role of Filipino women in the society, especially as the government’s partners in ensuring the safety of all road users,” said Assec Mendoza.

Just last week, the LTO and the LGU Naga City awarded Scholarship Certificates for the Theoretical Driving Course for Women to mark International Women’s Day on March 8. A total of 913 students of Aurelio Mendoza Memorial Colleges in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay were also part of the region’s free LTO TDC.

The LTO TDC is a program that aims to enhance students’ understanding of road safety. It likewise provides complimentary TDC Certificates, a requirement to obtain a student permit, which in turn is required to be able to apply for a driver’s license.

To all of our female readers, we celebrate every one of you, not just this month, but every day. Happy National Women’s Month, ladies!
