Toyota PH removes 1.5 liter Vios frome lineup, could the new model launch soon?
It’s already being widely reported that Toyota Motor Philippines has dropped the 1.5-liter Vios from the lineup.
No more Toyota Vios 1.5
We were able to confirm this by checking out the brand’s official website where all variants of the 1.5 have been removed. Upon visiting the sight, the now current top-of-the-line variant is the 1.3 XLE CVT at PHP 902,000.
This would seem like a strange move on the brand’s part given that the Vios is the best-selling car in the whole country, but it could be a sign of things to come. Remember when they launched the Zenix? apart from offering the new Zenix they kept selling the older Innova.
It would seem that could be Toyota’s strategy once again, that the new Vios will be sold alongside the old one but the new one will come in a 1.5-liter guise while the older one caters to those who want the 1.3.
This is all pure speculation at this point given that the brand hasn’t confirmed anything, but a launch is long overdue given the new generation Vios has been around the southeast Asian region since 2022.
