The standout feature is the Performance package, designed to achieve a sub-7-minute lap at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. It includes dive planes, a larger splitter on the front fascia, underbody flaps, and a drag reduction system for the rear wing. These active aerodynamic components reduce drag while maintaining grip during cornering. The package also offers a Lightweight option, which removes some sound-deadening material and adds 20-inch magnesium wheels and a unique front fascia.

“Many sports cars excel at one thing, but to set a quick lap at the Nürburgring, a car needs to be great at everything,” said Greg Goodall, Mustang GTD Chief Engineer. “From the lightweight carbon fiber body to the active aerodynamics, we’ve learned from motorsport to make the Mustang GTD excel everywhere.”

The interior of the Mustang GTD is designed to keep drivers focused and confident. It features standard Recaro seats and a new GTD steering wheel. This flat-bottom steering wheel has a thick, well-padded rim with premium Dinamica inserts and a leather wrap, along with carbon-fiber inserts. The GTD-exclusive steering wheel also includes buttons for adjusting suspension firmness and exhaust mode, enabling drivers to make adjustments without taking their eyes off the road.
