We’ve all seen a month-long streak of fuel price hikes. Finally, we’re getting some good news tomorrow with a rollback for both gasoline and diesel. The past four weeks have been rough for those who use either type of fuel products but a reprieve is in sight. This week, we will see gas go down by PHP 0.60 per liter and diesel by PHP 0.95.
Month-long fuel price hike streak broken
No streak is more dreaded than that of a fuel price hike. The past month saw consistent rises in the prices of gas and diesel and to say we and our wallets felt it is an understatement. However, all of us are getting some good news tomorrow, July 16, because both fuel types are in for a rollback. As mentioned gas will be cheaper by PHP 0.60 per liter, and diesel will go down as well by PHP 0.95 per liter.
As we’ve all come to expect, Cleanfuel will be the first to drop their prices at 12:01 AM. The rest of the players including Petron, Shell, Unioil, Caltex, and Seaoil will do so a little later in the day at 6:00 AM. Regardless of what brand you use, everyone can and will enjoy lower prices than last week. It’s not enough to cover the total amount of hikes in the past month, but we’ll take it.
To keep the good vibes going, we have some fuel-saving myths that we’ve debunked; these don’t work, people. It’s a good read, believe us!
Hopefully, we get more good news as the week moves along. And, should we be lucky, better news for fuel prices next week, too! Drive safely out there, everyone!
