A few days ago, we reported on all the road closures in preparation for the inaugural of the Republic’s new President. Today, the MMDA has released the guide for the traffic rerouting that will also be implemented leading up to the inaugural date. Here’s all that you need to know.
Traffic rerouting of public utility and private vehicles
Table of Contents
Northbound vehicles coming from Roxas Blvd. should turn right at UN Avenue or Kalaw Avenue and then turn left into Taft. Those who are eastbound and still coming from Roxas Blvd. will need to turn left at UN or Kalaw and then right into Taft to reach their destination.
Traffic rerouting for trucks
All northbound trucks coming from South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) must take Osmeña Highway, turn left at Quirino Avenue then turn right at Roxas Blvd. They must then go straight to Bonifacio Drive going to the point of destination. They must remember, though, that Roxas Blvd (from Buendia to P. Burgos) will be closed to traffic on June 30 from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
An alternate route for northbound trucks from SLEX is to go straight ahead to Osmeña Highway then turn right at Quirino Avenue, Then go straight to Nagtahan Street and towards Lacson Avenue, then turn left at Yuseco Street, go straight ahead to Capulong Street, then turn right to R-10 Rd. to reach the point of destination.
For southbound trucks, from Bonifacio Drive, all trucks must go straight to Roxas Blvd., turn left at Quirino Avenue, then turn right at Osmeña Highway and go straight to SLEX to reach their destination. Again, they must remember that Roxas Blvd. (from Buendia to P. Burgos) will be closed to traffic on June 30 from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
