We wouldn’t want our vehicles to get towed, right? San Juan seems to recognize this sentiment, and via a social media post, the City has provided a list and map of all its clamping and tow-away zones.
Here are all of San Juan City’s Clamping and Tow-Away Zones
Do take note that all the zones that you will see below follow the City’s Ordinance No.70, Series of 2022, and the MMDA Resolution No. 10, Series of 2010. In a nutshell, these ordinances cover all Mabuhay Lanes in the City and as such, cannot be parked along at any time by any vehicle.
Should you find your wheel clamped or if your vehicle has been towed away for violating these Ordinances, the fines are outlined in the infographic above and can cost anywhere from PHP 500USD 8INR 723EUR 8CNY 62 to PHP 2,000USD 34INR 2,891EUR 33CNY 248 depending on the vehicle type clamped. As for towing, that’s going to range anywhere from PHP 1,500USD 25INR 2,168EUR 25CNY 186 to PHP 4,500USD 76INR 6,504EUR 74CNY 558, again depending on the vehicle type towed. That rate also applies to only the first 4 kilometers from the tow site. Anything beyond that will be charged PHP 200USD 3INR 289EUR 3CNY 25 more per kilometer.
As for the specific roads that are designated as Mabuhay Lanes, they are the following:

So there we go, some pretty useful information to know, especially if you find yourself frequenting San Juan. Stay clear of these clamping and towing zones, yes? It’s going to cost a pretty penny, or centavo if you find yourself on the wrong side of the rules, or on the end of a towing cable.
What do you do with “pasaway” na jeeps which park along mabuhay lane even when told by the BArangay Captain to not park. Clamping does not work.
what if the jeepney keeps on defying the warnings of the Barangay Captain and continues to park and cause traffic making the spot they park at single car lane meaning both lanes have to give way waiting for each other then what ? Clamping did not work with them. This road is a mabuhay lane.
