2024 Mitsubishi Strada set for an awesome debut on July 26, 2023

The current-generation Strada has been around for the better part of eight years. This past March, we had a taste of how the new-gen might look after Mitsubishi showed off the XRT Concept at the Bangkok Motor Show. It was a pretty good taste of things to come, and with some snooping, it seems that the brand has sent out invitations, albeit in Thailand, for the launch of the pickup’s 2024 year model.

Social media on Mitsubishi Thailand’s front has been rather quiet, but we’ve found that the manufacturer has sent invitations to TH media for the launch of the Triton, AKA the Strada. The reveal is set on July 26, 2023. Seeing as so many vehicles and models in the Philippines are sourced from the Land of Smiles, what we will see – or have seen by way of the XRT Concept – is a good barometer of what we may actually get locally.

What we can see now, though, is a redesigned front end, fenders, and a more muscular bed, if that’s even a thing. We’re just looking at the wider, bulging arches of its rear fenders. The XRT may have gotten a Ralliart treatment, but if anything, the new Strada may also be bigger, wider, and longer compared to the outgoing model.

Not much can be assumed for the interior, though. What we do expect is a rearranged dashboard, new seats, and upholstery color and material choices, as well as some added safety features.

Rumor has it that it may ditch the current engine and will be replaced with an updated 4N16 2.4-Liter engine, better-tuned (?) compared to the current 4N15 under the hood.

A month and a half away sounds a bit too long, and while we don’t want to jump the gun, leaks might just make their way to the world wide web before the covers of the new Strada are officially taken off. Until such time, everything’s up in the air as far as assumptions go for Mitsubishi‘s great-selling pickup.

Excited? We know we are!
