GrabTrike Premium Service launched in the Philippines

Listen to article

Grab, in partnership with AutoItalia Philippines, launches a short-distance transportation system in the Philippines called GrabTrike Premium.

This system will use 2000 Piaggio Ape City FI units. The trike features a maximum load capacity of 300 kilograms, uses frugal gas or diesel, and can travel up to 38 kilometers on a single liter of gas. In alignment with Grab’s efforts to push for transport modernization, the GrabTrike Premium service will use Euro-IV compliant Piaggio Ape units.

“It’s more economical than booking a car – particularly for short trips. For driver-partners, the low acquisition cost has been made even more affordable through our special financing plans,” – Miguelito Jose, AutoItalia general manager

The Municipality of Binalonan, Pangasinan is the first to test-drive this system along with the 24 new Piaggio Ape vehicles. Grab Driver-partners who will participate will receive smartphones pre-loaded with the Grab app, free Grab merchandise, and additional income from booking fees.
