Last year (around July) Hyundai revealed one of the coolest-looking concept cars to date; the N Vision 74. This car is supposed to pay homage to the older Pony Coupe which was designed by the famous Giorgetto Giugiaro. At the time of the reveal, it all seemed like a creative exercise, but now it seems this stunning concept could be a reality soon.
Hyundai N Vision 74 to head to production?
According to a report by Money Today (and Motor 1), the South Korean automaker is set to organize a “Pony Day” at its design studio in Seoul on May 27. During the said “Pony Day” the brand will not only disclose the production plans but may also reveal the N 74 in all its final production glory.
It should be worth noting though that the May 27 launch date should be taken lightly as Money Today didn’t specify where they got the information from apart from noting (undisclosed industry sources). If it’s true though what would power the Hyundai N Vision 74? The report states that it could be powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and battery power with rear-mounted motors that produce a combined 671 HP and 664 pound-feet of torque.
All this aside the brand could opt for good old internal combustion should they be inclined to rush it into production, but at this point, everything is still up in the air. Although it would be really cool if the report is true and we get another stunning-looking performance vehicle for sale.
