CUPRA announced a series of developments at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, including the reveal of the CUPRA Tindaya Showcar, the introduction of new Tribe Editions, and confirmation that the CUPRA Raval will make its world premiere in Barcelona in March 2026. The brand also outlined expansion plans and presented new lifestyle collaborations.

The CUPRA Tindaya Showcar was presented as the brand’s vision for future design and driver-focused technology. Markus Haupt, Interim CEO of CUPRA, said: “The CUPRA Tindaya Showcar is not a dream, not even an ambition. This is our CUPRA statement, and it’s going to be a reality.”

The showcar embodies CUPRA’s philosophy of prioritizing driver connection, carrying the message “No Drivers, No CUPRA.” It emphasizes a driver-centric design both inside and out.
After opening new CUPRA City Garages in Vienna and Manchester this year, bringing the total to 12 worldwide, CUPRA confirmed it is assessing a market entry into the Middle East. Sven Schuwirth, VP of Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales, said the region presents strong growth potential close to Europe.
CUPRA introduced exclusive Tribe Editions of the Formentor, Leon, Leon Sportstourer, and Terramar. These feature new customization options, including a Manganese Matt exterior color, 3D-knitted bucket seats, bio-based paint elements, and alloy wheels with 20% recycled material.

Ahead of IAA, CUPRA previewed the camouflaged production version of the CUPRA Raval, its upcoming electric urban car based on Volkswagen’s MEB+ platform. Measuring 4 meters long, it features front-wheel drive, a sport chassis lowered by 15mm, tuned suspension, and progressive steering.

The top-spec CUPRA Raval VZ (166kW) adds CUPBucket seats, DCC Sport suspension, ESC OFF mode, 19-inch wheels with wider tires, and a VAQ electronic slip differential. The Raval will debut in Barcelona in March 2026 and launch soon after as part of the Brand Group Core’s Electric Urban Car lineup.
Harper Collective x CUPRA: A luggage collection co-created with Jaden Smith and Sebastian Manes’ Harper Collective, launching in Munich before going online on September 22.
Vichy Catalan x CUPRA: CUPRA’s branded drink, already launched in Spain and the UK, will debut in Germany this September.
MAM x CUPRA: A new lifestyle accessories line including bags and key rings.
CUPRA Scent: A fragrance developed with LUCTA and Fundación Ernesto Ventós.
Sennheiser x CUPRA: Immersive audio technology enhanced the Tindaya Showcar reveal at IAA.
From January to August 2025, CUPRA delivered 216,000 vehicles, a 36% increase year-on-year. The brand is on course to reach one million cumulative deliveries in the coming months. In 2026, CUPRA will mark its eighth anniversary and launch its eighth model, the Raval.
Now, all that being said, and with CUPRA’s expansion plans, do we have a chance of seeing the brand ever enter Asia-Pacific? Only time will tell.
