The partnership covers transport for high-level engagements during the summit, aligned with the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together.” TMP said it will provide secure and seamless mobility for regional leaders using electrified vehicles.
Lexus will deploy a fleet of hybrid electric vehicles, including the LS500 and LM350, to transport heads of state and official delegates. The vehicles will be used across key summit venues in Cebu and Manila.
TMP president Masando Hashimoto said the company aims to demonstrate how mobility solutions can support both operational requirements and sustainability goals.
He added that the use of electrified vehicles highlights a broader direction toward lower-emission transport while maintaining comfort and reliability for official engagements.
The ASEAN National Organising Council (NOC) said the partnership reflects a growing focus on sustainability in the region. It noted that the use of electrified vehicles supports discussions among ASEAN leaders on climate resilience, energy security, and environmental sustainability.
The initiative also aligns with the “Lexus Electrified” strategy, which includes fully electric and hybrid models such as the RZ, RX 350h, and NX 350h. TMP said it continues to expand support infrastructure, including charging and dealership networks, with services available at Lexus Manila and selected Toyota dealerships nationwide.
TMP’s involvement is part of the ASEAN 2026 Corporate Citizenship Programme, which brings in private sector support to assist in hosting the 48th and 49th ASEAN Summits.
In addition to providing vehicles for government leaders, TMP will support the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) by supplying shuttle services for delegates attending related events. These include the ASEAN-BAC 106th Council Meeting, the ASEAN Business & Investment Summit, and the ASEAN Business Awards.
The Philippines also holds the ASEAN-BAC chairmanship in 2026 under the theme “Advancing Prosperity for All.” The agenda includes strengthening regional supply chains, developing economic corridors, supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and promoting digital and AI-driven initiatives across ASEAN.
