Toyota Motor Philippines commences retail sales of Land Cruiser FJ

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has started retail sales of the all-new Land Cruiser FJ, a compact SUV addition to the Land Cruiser lineup.

It was first launched locally at the Philippine International Motor Show back in June, but was available only for reservations.

The Land Cruiser FJ takes styling cues from earlier Land Cruiser models, with an upright body, short overhangs, a wide stance, and high ground clearance for off-road use. It also has a rear side-access cargo door, a rear-mounted spare tire, and squared-off body panels.

The TX and VX variants are powered by a 2.7-liter 2TR-FE naturally aspirated gasoline engine producing 166 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and a part-time four-wheel-drive system. The vehicle runs in rear-wheel drive under normal conditions, with four-wheel drive that can be engaged when needed.

The Land Cruiser FJ is built on a ladder-frame chassis with double-wishbone front suspension and four-link rear suspension. Both variants come standard with Active Traction Control System (A-TRC). The TX and VX measure 4,610mm in length, 1,855mm in width, and have a 2,580mm wheelbase, with 245mm of ground clearance. The TX stands 1,890mm tall, while the VX stands 1,950mm tall.

The TX variant comes with 17-inch steel wheels, LED lighting, a 9-inch infotainment display, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, synthetic leather seats with manual adjustment, a lever parking brake, and a rotary selector for four-wheel-drive modes.

The VX variant adds 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, side steps, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a leather shift knob, and a Panoramic View Monitor. It also includes Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which covers a Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, and Automatic High Beam.

The Land Cruiser FJ is available in five colors: Smoky Blue, Oxide Bronze Mica, Ash, Attitude Black Mica, and Platinum White Pearl Mica PC.
