Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially introduced a hybrid electric variant of the Land Cruiser 300, expanding the nameplate’s powertrain options in the local market.
The Land Cruiser HEV was previewed at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show before its official addition to TMP’s lineup. The company said the move is part of its multi-pathway approach to reducing carbon emissions while giving customers more choices to suit their needs.
The Land Cruiser nameplate has been in production since 1951, originally known as the Jeep BJ before taking on its current name. The SUV made its Philippine debut with the Land Cruiser 80 in 1990, which brought significant upgrades in comfort, features, and technology. The model built a strong following in the country, with various Land Cruiser generations still seen on Philippine roads today.
The current Land Cruiser 300 (LC300) is powered by a 3.3-liter V6 twin-turbo diesel engine producing 306 PS, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The HEV variant replaces the diesel setup with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine producing 415 PS, supplemented by an electric motor adding 49 PS. The hybrid variant also gets electric power steering and an Aero with Jet-Black Garnish exterior treatment. That said, the diesel will still be available alongside it as a separate variant.

“The Land Cruiser HEV is part of Toyota’s efforts in offering different powertrains that address our customers’ needs and lifestyles,” said TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Elijah Marcial. “Customers who want to experience the legendary heritage and proven performance of the Land Cruiser while having access to Toyota’s hybrid technology will find this car to be the perfect choice.”
As for available colors, the LC300 HEV is available in Attitude Black Mica, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, and Precious White Pearl (premium color).
The LC300 HEV is priced to sell at PHP 6,930,000 and is available in Attitude Black Mica, Silver Metallic, and Gray Metallic. The Precious White Pearl color option carries a slightly higher price of PHP 6,945,000
