Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially opened reservations for the all-new Land Cruiser FJ starting today, June 4. The compact 4×4 SUV is the latest addition to TMP’s SUV lineup and carries the Land Cruiser nameplate in a smaller, more accessible package.
The Land Cruiser FJ — where FJ stands for “Freedom & Joy” — features a boxy, upright design drawn from the classic Land Cruiser silhouette. It comes with a wide stance, short overhangs, and ground clearance suited for off-road use.
On the technical side, the model is equipped with a Differential Lock, Auto Limited Slip Differential, a 2nd Start Mode, and a Panoramic View Monitor.
Under the hood, the new LC FJ uses a 2.7-liter naturally aspirated inline-four engine producing 163 PS and 246 Nm of torque.
TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Elijah Marcial said the new model is aimed at making the Land Cruiser nameplate more widely available. “The all-new Land Cruiser FJ is a platform where owners can fully customize and express themselves by accessorizing the car with different parts, fitting for both the city and off-roading,” Marcial said.
The Land Cruiser FJ will be offered in five colors: Ash, Smoky Blue, Oxide Bronze Mica, Attitude Black Mica, and Platinum White Mica.
It comes in two variants. The TX is priced at Php 2,235,000, while the VX is priced at Php 2,575,000.
