Inchcape Philippines and Changan have mutually agreed not to renew their distribution partnership in the Philippines, as Changan moves forward with its own long-term plans for the market.

The partnership will enter a transition period running through the fourth quarter of 2026. Existing customer commitments — including aftersales, warranty, parts, and service support — will remain valid throughout this period.
Alex Hammett, Managing Director for South Asia & Pacific at Inchcape, said the company and Changan have worked together since 2023 to build the brand in the Philippines, backed by Inchcape’s local distribution network and dealer support.
“We are committed to supporting our customers, colleagues, dealers and business partners through this transition, and I would like to thank our team at Inchcape Philippines and our dealer partners for their valuable contribution to building and supporting the Changan brand in the Philippines over the past three years,” Hammett said.
Hammett added that the Philippines remains an important market for Inchcape, which will continue to distribute Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, trucks, and buses, as well as Jaguar Land Rover, and operate the retail business of Harley-Davidson. He said Inchcape’s focus going forward is on growing its existing portfolio and introducing new products to customers in the country.
The Philippines also hosts Inchcape’s Digital Delivery Centre and Global Business Services teams, which together employ more than 700 people supporting the company’s global operations.
Inchcape said further details on arrangements following the transition period will be released once confirmed.
