As NCR is under a community quarantine from March 13, 2020, to April 12, 2020, government work in the Executive Department has been suspended. Due to that,  the LTO will not be collecting penalties for the late registration of motor vehicles and renewal of driver’s licenses that will expire during the duration of the community quarantine.

Along with the non-collection of penalties, the LTO has also announced that the validity of all student permits shall be extended within the mentioned quarantine duration. Additionally, the agency also noted that Temporary Operator’s Permits (TOPs) that expired on March 13, 2020, can be settled during the aforementioned period without any suspension.
