Nissan PH removes Almera VL-Turbo N-Sport for 2023

In other sad/breaking news, it seems Nissan has discontinued the top-of-the-line Almera variant; the VL-Turbo N-Sport. This report is based on the fact that on the Price Guide portion of the NPI website, the VL-Turbo N-Sport has been removed.

In place of the now removed VL, the VE has been given the N-Sport treatment instead. The Almera VE N-Sport still comes decked out in the N-Sport appearance package comprised of the N-Sport grille, N-Sport front, and rear bumpers, silver-finished door mirrors, and N-Sport emblems. The Almera VE also now comes with LED foglamps with no increase in price.

Here is the new price list:

  • Almera 1.0 EL Turbo MT – PHP 779,000
  • Almera 1.0 VE Turbo MT – PHP 949,000
  • Almera 1.0 VE Turbo CVT – PHP 999,000
  • Almera 1.0 VE Turbo N-Sport CVT – PHP 1,049,000

The Almera VE N-Sport gets the previously exclusive N-Sport black soft panel dashboard but loses the leather seats and 60/40 split-folding mechanism and center armrest on the rear bench. It gets black fabric seats and fixed rear seats.

Despite the VE N-Sport now taking the top-of-the-line spot, it doesn’t come with 4 airbags (2 only). At least it still comes with the advanced driver assist—360-degree camera, front autonomous emergency braking, and vehicle stability control.

With the lower prices would you now consider the Nissan Almera?
