Nissan Philippines launches the New Year with a drive featuring the Nissan Kicks e-POWER Club

In collaboration with the Nissan Kicks e-POWER Club of the Philippines, Nissan Philippines kicked off the new year with an exhilarating event in Clark, Pampanga, showcasing the impressive capabilities of the Kicks e-POWER’s efficient all-electric drive. The gathering also marked the first anniversary of the club.

The club organized a fuel efficiency challenge, attracting over sixty-three (63) participants with Kicks e-POWER vehicles. The challenge involved a journey from Manila to Clark, starting at Nissan’s North EDSA dealership with a pit stop in Marilao, Bulacan. Equipped with full gas tanks, participants navigated their way at their own pace, employing various strategies to optimize fuel consumption before concluding the drive at the Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort.

Plaridel Arvin Ramos emerged as the challenge winner, achieving an impressive fuel efficiency of 28.1 kilometers per liter. Derrick Tan Uy, a club founding member, and Marc Ernest Manasan shared the second spot with a combined reading of 27.7 kilometers per liter. In third place, Charly Untalan and Jel Directo tied with a reading of 27.5 kilometers per liter. Nissan Philippines President Juan Manuel Hoyos presented the awards to the winners.

Derrick Tan Uy, President of the Nissan Kicks e-POWER Club of the Philippines, expressed gratitude to Nissan Philippines Inc. for realizing the Eco Run. He highlighted the event’s significance, featuring a route encompassing both highway and city driving for a more realistic daily driving experience. Uy also emphasized that the achieved scores surpassed expectations, and the event served as an educational platform for members to drive their Kicks efficiently while still enjoying the driving experience.

To conclude the event, Nissan Philippines and the club’s founding members visited Duyan ni Maria Children’s Home, donating pairs of athletic shoes to the organization. The Duyan ni Maria Children’s Choir treated participants to an exceptional performance.

President of Nissan Philippines, Juan Manuel Hoyos, commended the event as more than just a celebration of an outstanding vehicle. He described it as a collective vision for a sustainable and electrifying future on the roads, congratulating the Kicks e-POWER Club of the Philippines on their first anniversary and expressing hope for more such events led by passionate club members in the future.
