Fuel Price Update, March 4, 2025 – Good news, both gas and diesel get a rollback, PHP 0.90 and PHP 0.80, respectively

Fuel price hikes, whether for both or either gas or diesel, have been on a rampage for most of the start of 2025. We always say that we take every rollback – big or small – as a win, and tomorrow, we can all notch another one up as we’re set to have a rollback for both fuel types on March 4, 2025. Gas will go down by PHP 0.90USD 0.02INR 1EUR 0.01CNY 0.11 per liter and diesel by PHP 0.80USD 0.01INR 1EUR 0.01CNY 0.10.

Fuel price rollback scheduled for both gasoline and diesel products tomorrow

We all remember how fuel prices went down by such a significant amount only 5 years past. While we do not wish for the same reason to happen again, we do long for the lower prices of gas and diesel, but that simply won’t be so. And that’s why we say any rollback is a good rollback, and every rollback is a win. That’s why tomorrow’s reduction of PHP 0.90USD 0.02INR 1EUR 0.01CNY 0.11 for gas and PHP 0.80USD 0.01INR 1EUR 0.01CNY 0.10 for diesel is something we can all smile at and be happy about, indeed.

As early as 6:00 AM, the majority of brands will be updating their pumps’ prices and this includes Caltex, Petron, Shell, Unioil, and Seaoil, among others. There was a time that Cleanfuel updated at the same time, but they’ve since changed their practice. They will still start selling cheaper by the liter, but they will do so starting at 8:01 AM. Whatever brand you use, you can expect to pay a little bit less well before lunchtime tomorrow.

We’ve been saying time and again that given these slews of increases, perhaps it is finally time to embrace the electrified vehicle options that we have available in the Philippines. In their latest statement, Ford is entering the electrified fray and if we are correct, the Ranger might be the first to get a taste of PHEV power in the country. That’s pretty big news for both diesel lovers and Ranger fans. But whether you currently use diesel or gas, fuel prices will remain unpredictable, so at this point, it’s best to try to save as much as we can, or look into how we might be able to maximize our hybrid and EV options in the Philippines.

Provided that our pockets can afford them, that is.
