Need simple but quick traffic updates about the North Luzon Expressway or NLEX? Then you might want to download the NLEX Assist app on your Android phone before you hit the road.
The NLEX Assist app which is currently on Beta is developed by Voyager Innovations Inc. – a subsidiary of Smart Communications, Inc. As the name suggests, lets you receive travel advisories and deal alerts while at the North Luzon Expressway. Simple as that.
Unlike the MMDA app, the NLEX Assist requires you to register first which will take five to six steps. Once registration is complete you can now scroll through simple yet easy to understand traffic updates coming from Southbound and Northbound. You can also get alerts, call NLEX Emergency Hotline directly from the app, and browse through deals if you’re a Smart or Sun subscriber.
The NLEX Assist Beta app is currently in version 1.2.4 and has a good 5-star rating. It’s 1.7 MB in size and can be downloaded for free here.
