Important Advisory: Temporary One-way traffic along Maginhawa from now until February 28, 2025

Maginhawa Street in Teachers Village, Quezon City has seen an exponential rise in motor vehicle traffic in the past decade. What with all the eateries and hang-out places, this was to be expected. That said, those who intend to get to the famed street using a motor vehicle may find this advisory very informative and important. From November 30, 2024, a one-way traffic scheme will be implemented until next year. Here are the details.

Maginhawa corner Magiting will be one-way until February next year

Those who might have made their way to Maginhawa last Saturday may have already noticed the implementation of the new traffic scheme. As of November 30, 2024, from the corner of Magihnawa and Magiting Street will move in only a one-way direction towards Barangay Teachers Village East.

This new scheme will be enforced from (again) November 30 to February 28, 2025.

Of course, an alternate route has been worked out given this circumstance. For anyone who might be affected by the new one-way traffic scheme, those heading towards Mayaman/Masaya Streets are advised to take Masinsinan Street and then turn left at B. Baluyot Street. There is also a temporary road closure in the area, and it will be unpassable from November 30 and December 1, 2024, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM to facilitate the construction of the SPARK project.

It is worth noting that the temporary traffic scheme and road closure are part of the (construction) of SPARK Project.
