Important 2023 Bar Exam Traffic Advisory: QC and Manila road closures

The 2023 Bar Exam is scheduled to take place on September 17, 20, and 24, 2023, and with it will come traffic jams. A great number of examinees – around 10,867 – and their vehicles will make their way to their testing centers, and for those who may need to take the roads in and around UP Diliman, the University of Santo Tomas, and San Beda University, here are the traffic hotspots and road closures that you need to take note of.

Traffic expected in the following areas for the 2023 Bar Exams

UP Diliman, Quezon City

While there are no road closures to be implemented around and leading into the University of the Philippines, all motorists are advised to expect traffic along the following roads and are advised to consider alternate routes to avoid the possible high volume of vehicles on the said dates:

  • University Avenue
  • C.P. Garcia Avenue
  • Katipunan Avenue
  • Commonwealth Avenue

University of Santo Tomas, Manila

Those who may find themselves in the area of the University of Santo Tomas, Dapitan and Espana will be affected by the 2023 Bar Exams, and here are the road closures, traffic schemes, and times that you should be aware of:

3:30 AM – 9:00 AM & 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM

  • Dapitan Street (from Lacson Avenue to Padre Noval Street)
  • España Blvd. Westbound (2 lanes, from Lacson Avenue to Padre Noval Street)

San Beda University, Manila

As for those who may have to take the areas around San Beda University, here are the road closures and times that you should be aware of when the 2023 Bar Exams start:

2:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Legarda Street Eastbound (2 lanes, from San Rafael St. to Mendiola Street)
  • Mendiola Street (both lanes, from Peace Arch to Malacañang Gate)
  • Concepcion Aguila Street (both lanes, from Mendiola St. to Jose Laurel Street)

Both the Quezon City and Manila LGUs saw fit to post maps indicating the affected roads during the duration of the 2023 Bar Exams, which you can easily reference in the images above. Again, the Bar Exams this year will be held on September 17, 20, and 24, 2023.
