After a bunch of teaser posts, Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) officially introduced the all-new Monjaro EM-i SUV to the Philippine market. Set to be the brand’s flagship SUV offering in the country, it features an electrified powertrain combined with a luxurious interior. But what else does it offer?
Built on Geely’s GEA Evo new energy architecture, the Monjaro EM-i is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid engine paired with dual electric motors and a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission.
Together, the system produces a combined 335hp (250 kW) and 667 Nm of torque, sent to all four wheels through Geely’s e-AWD system. This allows the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.83 seconds.
This being a plug-in hybrid, it also features a large 29.8 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. According to Geely, it lets the Monjaro drive up to 130 kilometers on electric power alone. Meanwhile, the total combined range is rated at 1,095 kilometers (NEDC).
In terms of size, the Monjaro measures 4,800 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, and 1,700 mm tall, with a 2,845 mm wheelbase and 189 mm of ground clearance. This being a five-seater, it comes with 633 liters of cargo space, expandable to 1,532 liters with the rear seats folded.
As mentioned earlier, the interior is a very premium space to be in. There’s also a lot of tech here, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.4-inch central screen, and a 25.6-inch windshield head-up display, along with a suite of ADAS features. Additional features include over-the-air updates, remote vehicle monitoring and control, and a 16-speaker Flyme audio system.
The all-new Geely Monjaro EM-i Luxury is available at a suggested retail price of PHP 1,868,000, and it is available in four colors: Cloud White, Night Black, Sky Blue, and Dawn Gold.
For a limited time, until December 31, 2026, buyers can take advantage of the Monjaro EM-i launch promos. These include a PHP 60,000 discount, PHP 40,000 Charging Benefits, consisting of a PHP 10,000 portable charger and a PHP 30,000 home charging station, and PHP 88,000 Extended Pre-Sale Benefits, consisting of the Luxury Suede Interior (PHP 30,000 value), Front Seat Massage Function (PHP 40,000 value), a 19-inch spare tire (PHP 10,000 value) and premium luxury floor mats (PHP 8,000 value).
