Global premium new energy brand Lynk & Co announced that its business operations in the Philippines will be officially integrated into the operating system of Geely Motor Philippines (GMP). Geely described the move as part of its “One Geely” strategy, aimed at deepening synergy across its brands and increasing its long-term investment in the Philippine market. By leveraging GMP’s existing local operational foundation and resources, Lynk & Co aims to improve market responsiveness, accelerate product introductions, and better address demand for premium mobility among Filipino consumers.

Lynk & Co was established in 2016 in Gothenburg, Sweden, and has focused on premium mobility products built around design, technology, and brand experience. It entered the Philippine market in March 2024 under the UAAGI group, building its local brand presence through a distinct positioning and product lineup.

With operational integration now in place, Lynk & Co said it will leverage GMP’s local operational strengths to accelerate the expansion of its sales and service network in the country, aiming to build a stronger localized foundation for long-term growth.

Mr. Ye Qin, General Manager of the ASEAN RHD Business Unit at Geely Auto International Corporation, thanked United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) for its role in supporting Lynk & Co’s growth in the Philippines since the brand’s market entry. He said UAAGI helped lay the groundwork for the brand’s local development and that the Philippines remains an important market for Lynk & Co going forward. He added that the company plans to continue increasing investment in the market, expand its product lineup, improve its sales and service infrastructure, and enhance the overall customer experience.

Geely said the restructured operating system will support Lynk & Co’s plans to expand its product lineup and refresh its brand presence in the Philippines. Starting in the fourth quarter of 2026, Lynk & Co will begin a brand refreshment in the country and gradually roll out a new generation of products under the GMP operating framework.

Among the new products is the Lynk & Co 900, a full-size SUV positioned in the premium plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) segment. The Lynk & Co 900 is built around space, comfort, and safety, and is designed for family use with a mix of comfort-focused and technology features. Geely said the model is intended to serve Filipino consumers looking for family-oriented premium mobility options and will add to the brand’s local premium lineup.

The Lynk & Co 900 is scheduled to launch in the Philippines in the fourth quarter of 2026. Further details on specifications and launch arrangements will be announced at a later date.
