New top of the line 2024 Ford Territory Sport variant appears ahead of official debut

Ford has just beefed up its 5-seater crossover offerings with the addition of the new Territory Sport. Based on the range-topping Titanium X variant, the Sport gets a slew of aesthetic changes both inside and out, just to add to the already-appealing charm of the rather popular model.

Ford Territory Sport comes with more aesthetic appeal

Ever since it first hit the PH market, the Ford Territory has been making a proverbial “killing” in the segment, with sales continuing to rise every month. With the addition of the Territory Sport, fans of the model, as well as those who are just starting to consider the Territory as their crossover purchase have just been given a new top-of-the-line variant to include in their list of choices.

The Territory Sport only comes with aesthetic changes, though, but they do well to add a greater appeal to the Territory.

On the outside, you’ll find that the key changes are all garbed in black. From the A-pillar, the roof, the tailgate wing and its accents, fender flares, door moldings, the front chin, the rear and side skirts, the massive front grill, the “Territory” badge on the tailgate, and the wheels, it’s all been murdered out, and to a pretty nice effect.

The inside of the Territory Sport, though, gets a more obvious revamp. Gone is the blue-gray motif and in its place is a tri-color upholstery of gray, off-white, and orange piping. From the seats, door sidings, center console and dashboard accents, and the armrest lid, you’ll find this three-color scheme generously applied to the cabin. The orange accent stitches also make their way to the door cards and steering wheel and with the addition of faux dry-carbon panels, a good mix of sportiness and ruggedness round off the interior very nicely.

Seeing as the Territory Sport takes its spot above the already-top-of-the-line Titanium X variant, it also gets the same engine under the hood; a 1.5-liter EcoBoost motor that makes about 160 HP and 248 Nm of torque mated to Ford’s 7-speed automatic transmission with wet-type Dual Clutch engagement system.

It also comes with different selectable Drive Modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, Mountain) and a slew of safety features that include Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go Feature, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Active Park Assist, and 360-Degree Camera, just to name a few.

“The New Territory Sport is a welcome addition to our Territory line-up in the Philippines especially to our customers looking for a sporty and stylish small SUV. It takes the Territory’s modern design and styling up a notch, with unique exterior and interior accents matched by a smooth, technology-enhanced driving experience,” said Mike Breen, Managing Director of Ford Philippines.

The Ford Territory Sport comes in three colors: Panther Black, Lustrous Gray, and Crystal Pearl White. It is priced at PHP 1,625,000 and for those who will get their Sport in May, their purchase will come with the Peace of Mind service package that includes the 5-Star Care Package inclusive of a 5-Year Free Scheduled Service Plan (SSP) and 5-Year Free Roadside Assistance on top of the 5-Year Warranty.
