Ford Philippines has officially entered the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) segment with the launch of the Ford Territory Hybrid, making the Philippines the first market under Ford’s International Markets Group (IMG) to offer the model.

The Territory Hybrid builds on the popularity of the current Territory SUV, combining a fuel-efficient hybrid system with upgraded features and modern styling. The hybrid model is available in two variants: Trend and Titanium X. That being said, the regular full ICE (Internal combustion engine) models are now out, and the Territory will now only be available with a hybrid powertrain.

The Territory Hybrid is powered by a 1.5L I-4 Dedicated Hybrid Engine, paired with a 2-Speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission and a 1.83kW Lithium-Ion NCM High Voltage Battery. The powertrain produces 150 PS and 230 Nm of torque from the engine, and up to 218 PS and 315 Nm from the electric motor.

It supports multiple drive modes—EV, Series, Parallel, and Energy Recovery—which contribute to better fuel efficiency, especially in urban, stop-and-go traffic. The vehicle accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, which is a two-second improvement compared to the outgoing model.

Three selectable driving modes, Eco, Normal, and Sport, adjust the vehicle’s performance depending on road conditions and driver preference. Power steering modes, Comfort, Normal, and Sport, can be manually adjusted or automatically linked to drive modes.

Unlike plug-in hybrids, the Territory Hybrid does not require external charging. It recharges automatically through regenerative braking and engine energy recovery.

Externally, the Territory Hybrid features a totally different front-end with a redesigned hood, fenders, front grille, and LED reflector headlights with an intelligent high beam system. At the rear, it has a full-width LED taillight bar and a redesigned bumper.

The Trend comes with 18-inch wheels, while the Titanium X gets 19-inch wheels and a coast-to-coast LED position lamp for a more premium appearance.

Inside, the cabin offers new materials, dual-tone leather seats with zest stitching, and enhanced headrests. The second row remains spacious, and luggage capacity is retained. Ambient lighting adds to the upgraded interior feel and ambience at night.

Both variants come standard with dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-start ignition, rear air vents, and multiple charging ports. The Titanium X adds a PM2.5 air filter, wireless charging, and hands-free power tailgate.

The infotainment system includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch touchscreen, with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Audio is powered by Arkamys SoundStage, offering 3D surround sound.

Standard safety features for both variants include:
1Electronic Stability Control
Traction Control
Hill Launch Assist
Hill Descent Control
Rear Parking Sensors
Up to six airbags
360-degree camera with split view
The Titanium X adds:
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go

Autonomous Emergency Braking
Forward Collision Warning
Lane Departure Warning and Lane Centering Control
Both variants use front acoustic glass to reduce noise at speeds of up to 120 km/h for better NVH levels.
The Territory Hybrid is also equipped with FordPass Connect, enabling users to access vehicle health alerts and remote functions such as lock/unlock and engine start via smartphone.
