Angkas to launch own motorcycle ambulance service in 2019

Recently, Angkas announced that it is set to launch its own motorcycle ambulance service called Angkas Buhay by mid-2019.

According to Angkas, they are looking for paramedic volunteers for its Angkas Buhay service. These paramedic volunteers will undergo Angkas Buhay’s intensive training course for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). After the training, they will be deployed using “ambucycles” that are fully equipped with medical supplies and from there, they’d be able to “stabilize” patients before secondary medical transport arrives.

There will also be an in-app “Emergency” button in the Angkas app to match patients with nearby EMT drivers.
