The MAZDA VISION X-COUPE represents the next step in Mazda’s KODO–Soul of Motion design language. The crossover coupe uses a plug-in hybrid system that combines a two-rotor rotary turbo engine with an electric motor and battery. It delivers up to 510 PS and provides a 160 km range in electric mode, or up to 800 km when using both power sources. Mazda also highlighted its use of carbon-neutral fuel derived from microalgae and its Mazda Mobile Carbon Capture system, which can reduce CO₂ emissions as the vehicle operates.

The MAZDA VISION X-COMPACT explores the relationship between humans and machines through a blend of sensory digital modeling and empathetic AI. The concept allows the vehicle to interact with the driver naturally, suggesting destinations and engaging in conversation, demonstrating Mazda’s vision of future smart mobility that builds emotional connections between people and cars. This could be the next-generation idea for the Mazda2 that the brand can also build upon.

Mazda President and CEO Masahiro Moro said the brand’s guiding principle which is called “The joy of driving fuels a sustainable tomorrow,” reflects its core philosophy and long-term goals. “Under the shared global mission of achieving carbon neutrality, Mazda believes that the joy of driving can be a force for positive change for society and the planet,” he said.

Mazda continues to develop vehicles centered on human experience, aiming to bring the “Joy of Living” through innovative mobility that remains Radically Human. This is seen in their lineup today, and looks to shape their future lineup as well.
