Heads up for those who frequent the Philippine National Railways (PNR), there will be a disruption in operation next week.
PNR annual maintenance schedule
Earlier today the railway operators announced that they will be suspending the operation of the whole system starting April 6 until April 9, 2023. This was done to give way to the annual maintenance schedule of the railway system, regular operations are set to recommence beginning April 10.
Regular operations will continue from April 1 to 5, 2023, in addition, the railway’s operators are deploying more personnel in order to keep the smooth and safe flow of operations especially with Holy Week coming up soon. Furthermore, additional help desks have been allocated in each of the stations as well as a dedicated nurse for the Tutuban clinic on the railway.
Lastly, “Track Walkers” have been placed to monitor the tracks for the proper and safe passage of the trains and quick response teams are also going to be in place in Manila, Laguna, Lucena, and Naga.
